Campaign Updates

I'll be posting upcoming events here so please check back.

August 21 - I did a live interview on ESPN 530 radio in Monterey/Salinas. It was technically a sports show, but I got asked some of the more intelligent questions I've had by Embele Awipi who is the host. If you missed it here's his weekly column from the Californian that has some excerpts from the interview.

August 11 - Today I went into Oakland and filed my papers for my write-in campaign. It's time to start collecting signatures again.

August 7 - Did an on camera interview today at a local (Pleasanton, CA) TV news station. Interviewed on the 580/680 News at 4:00 - they said it would rerun at 5,6,7,11, and 1am. (I think). Haven't gotten any feedback though so don't know what people thought. Personally I felt it went really well. Good practice for when the networks come calling.

Which, by the way, they can do anytime.

August 6 - Great article in the Contra Costa Times ran today. Brought in lots of email support and a surprising request for a date or two.

August 1 - I was out in San Francisco today, passing out fliers and talking to people. I met a bunch of nice people, it was really cool.

July 27 - I went out to the Fremont Art & Wine Festival. I talked to lots of people and some of them even said they would vote for me.  I think I really got my message out.

July 26 - I did some campaigning at the Farmers Market in Pleasanton today. I was able to get some signatures and passed out a bunch of fliers. People were really nice and very supportive. Some people mentioned that they had seen me on the news Friday night.

July 25: Channel 5 eyewitness news at 4:30 and 5:00 and 11:00(in San Francisco Bay Area) ran a portion of the interview they conducted with me when I went to file my paperwork today.
